If you've been with me from the beginning you'll know that Letting In Light has seen a couple of covers in its time, but the one that you will probably identify with most is the current one, and I have to say I still look at it and grin. But, now, as my writing career has moved on, so has Letting In Light.
Now cast your mind back a few months... Some of you may remember that in August of last year, I had a truly amazing week, when I was signed by my wonderful agent and picked up a publishing deal within days of one another. This deal was for two books with Amazon publishing, the first being for Letting in Light, the book I self published back in June 2014. So with contracts signed, and editors assigned, work began in December last year to take Letting in Light to a new level, to give it the edit it deserved and to make it into a book that was better than I ever thought possible. This was such an amazing process, and my learning curve soared upwards at a rate of knots. I'm so delighted therefore to announce that Letting in Light will be re-published on the 14th June, which in a spooky, and unplanned quirk of fate is two years to the exact date when I first pushed the publish button on my little book and sent it out into the world.
I know that most of you reading this are doing so because you've read and loved Letting in Light and so I wanted to explain to you why you'll be seeing it again - no, it's not a new book, but in many ways it is; the beginning has been totally rewritten, and one key element of the original plot changed. There will of course be a lot of publicity surrounding its release and the last thing I want you to do is to buy a copy and feel cheated because you've read it before. I wanted to have the opportunity to explain the journey both the book and I have been on. Of course, if you want to buy it, and read for yourself the transformation its gone through, I will be very pleased indeed!
To mark Letting In Light's rebirth, Amazon have given the outside a makeover too, and I'm thrilled to share with you the brand new (and might I say totally fabulous) cover. I really think Amazon have captured the spirit of the book beautifully, and I so want to look like the girl in the red dress! What do you think?
The new cover will go live, when the book relaunches on the 14th June, but it's always nice to have a sneaky preview don't you think?
