A secret garden. A moonlit reunion. And a chance to start again…?

Forty-something Gemma’s life is small and safe: days in the office, microwave meals for one at night. She’s always done the right thing – working hard, caring for others. But when her perfectly organised life falls apart, she does something impulsive. She answers an ad to relocate to an old stone farmhouse perched on a Cornish hill, to spend her days breathing life back into a tumbledown building.

As dusk settles each day, Gemma finds herself drawn outside, and discovers a forgotten garden. Its walls are gently crumbling, the bright blooms that were once tended with such love just peeking through the soil. Then one evening, a man from her past appears in the walled garden. Leo is all broad shoulders and handyman skills, and Gemma questions if this is her cue to leave.

But as Gemma’s hands tend the soil, the garden’s magic soothes her soul. Instead of pushing Leo away, she asks about the man she lost so long ago – who now, through an unexpected twist of fate, weeds beside her in the twilight.

Working side by side to uncover long-forgotten flowers in the garden, Gemma questions whether she’s planting the seeds for a whole new life for herself too.

Can the magic of this special place help her rediscover herself? Or will confronting the past be so painful that she’s called back to her old life after all?
